Microsoft Outlook Integration
Overview
Firm Chambers integrates with Microsoft 365 calendars via the Microsoft Graph API. Court dates, client meetings, and internal deadlines sync bidirectionally with Outlook.
Step 1: Configure Microsoft API Credentials
Your firm admin needs to register an application in the Azure portal and provide the client ID, client secret, and tenant ID in Settings > Integrations > Microsoft.
Step 2: Connect Your Account
Click "Connect Microsoft Calendar" and sign in with your Microsoft 365 account. Approve the permissions request to allow Firm Chambers to read and write calendar events.
Step 3: Select Calendars
Choose which Outlook calendars to sync. Most users sync their primary calendar, but you can include shared team calendars as well.
Step 4: Test the Sync
Create an event in Firm Chambers linked to a case and verify it appears in Outlook. Check that the case reference and client name are included in the event details.
Troubleshooting
- If the connection fails, verify that the Azure app registration has the correct API permissions (Calendars.ReadWrite).
- Token refresh happens automatically, but if sync stops, try disconnecting and reconnecting.
- Shared mailbox calendars require additional permissions configured by your Microsoft 365 admin.
