Connecting Microsoft Outlook Calendar

Microsoft Outlook Integration

Overview

Firm Chambers integrates with Microsoft 365 calendars via the Microsoft Graph API. Court dates, client meetings, and internal deadlines sync bidirectionally with Outlook.

Step 1: Configure Microsoft API Credentials

Your firm admin needs to register an application in the Azure portal and provide the client ID, client secret, and tenant ID in Settings > Integrations > Microsoft.

Step 2: Connect Your Account

Click "Connect Microsoft Calendar" and sign in with your Microsoft 365 account. Approve the permissions request to allow Firm Chambers to read and write calendar events.

Step 3: Select Calendars

Choose which Outlook calendars to sync. Most users sync their primary calendar, but you can include shared team calendars as well.

Step 4: Test the Sync

Create an event in Firm Chambers linked to a case and verify it appears in Outlook. Check that the case reference and client name are included in the event details.

Troubleshooting

  • If the connection fails, verify that the Azure app registration has the correct API permissions (Calendars.ReadWrite).
  • Token refresh happens automatically, but if sync stops, try disconnecting and reconnecting.
  • Shared mailbox calendars require additional permissions configured by your Microsoft 365 admin.
