1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account and using Firm Chambers, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Description of Service
Firm Chambers provides a cloud-based legal practice management platform that includes:
- Case and matter management
- Client relationship management
- Document storage and management with versioning
- Billing, invoicing, and time tracking
- Calendar and scheduling integrations
- Client portal access
- AI-assisted features for legal research and document analysis
3. Account Registration
To use Firm Chambers, you must:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have the authority to bind your law firm to these terms
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
4. Subscription and Payment
Firm Chambers operates on a subscription basis:
- Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually based on your selected plan
- Payment is due at the beginning of each billing period
- We accept major credit cards through our payment processor, Stripe
- You may cancel your subscription at any time
- Refunds are provided on a case-by-case basis at our discretion
5. Data Security and Privacy
We take data security seriously and implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information. Each law firm's data is isolated in separate database schemas with 256-bit encryption. Your use of Firm Chambers is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the service
- Upload malicious code or viruses
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe on intellectual property rights
7. Intellectual Property
Firm Chambers and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain full ownership of all data you upload to the platform.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Firm Chambers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the service.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service. Upon termination, you will lose access to your account and data. You may request a data export before termination takes effect.
10. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the platform. Your continued use of Firm Chambers after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which our company is registered, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
